Whether you’re an experienced player or have never played before, come along and join us for a friendly and relaxed game, with a bit of healthy competition against players and backgammon enthusiasts of all abilities.

It’s a great opportunity to learn the game, improve your skills, meet fellow players and enjoy a drink in good company. No partner or previous experience is needed – just turn up, roll the dice and get playing!

And once you’ve sharpened your skills, why not test yourself in our annual 1066 Tournament, hosted by the St Leonards Backgammon Club, which attracts some of the top-level players from across the UK! Or, if you’re ready to take things to the next level, join the St Leonards team and compete in the UKBGF “UK Team Championships” – where St Leonards made their debut in 2026, reaching the quarterfinals!

New players are welcome, tutorials are always available, so why not come along and give Backgammon a try?
